Tuscany can be called the most beautiful landscape from Italy. The area is well known for gently rolling hillsides, bounded by single files of darker green cypress trees, sandy roads leading to rust-colored farmhouses and moss-coated castles.
The best way to enjoy all this beauty is to stay at a farmhouse, surrounded by vineyards, olive-groves and sunflowers. Far away from mass-tourism.
Due Piani, a farmhouse in the heart of the Chianti valley, offers you this experience. Francesco, Brunella and Alberto are happy to receive you in their typical Toscan estate, and enable you to enjoy the best of Tuscany.
The rooms have characteristic old fornitures that contribute to an historical atmosphere. Inside the farmhouse has been made three only apartments for total 12/15 bed places.
All apartments have a living-room with kitchen corner, two bedrooms and one or two bathrooms, balconies with a panoramic view on the medieval small town of Barberino Val d'Elsa or on the old village of Tignano.
The apartments "Piani 1"(100 m²) and "Piani 2"(70 m²) may be join through the back terrace.
The third Apartment “Piani 3”(60 m²) has a nice leaving with a fire-place.
The farmhouse is located in the middle of the property (14 ha) with vineyards and olive-groves; there is a natural garden-park with centenarian trees and beautiful flowers , one swimming-pool, at exclusive use of the guests, ensures a refreshing dive. There is also a table for table-tennis, two barbecues and an equiped area to eat in open air.
The property is near the village (800 m), between the famous art-towns of Florence (25 Km) and Siena (30 Km), San Gimignano (15 km), Volterra(35 Km)
Francesco will be happy to offer you tasting of the wines and olive-oil produced in the farm, accompanying you around through the wine-cellar and the fields. You can have also other local products: delicatessen, cheeses, honey, etc.. from our direct neighbourhood. On request, we can organize theme-dinner or special tastings.
